No business can remain static. It either expands or contracts with no shades of gray in between.
That has been the philosophy of a vibrant pavingstone company in Southern California for many years and has resulted in Inc 500 magazine referring to it as the fastest growing pavingstone company in America.
Pacific Pavingstone, under the dynamic leadership of Terry Morrill and his two sons, recently united with their sister companies to become a “One-stop Shop†on a wholesale and retail level for absolutely everything one could possibly conceive as outdoor living requirements. The newly formed conglomerate is aptly called Pacific Outdoor Living.
Whether you are a contractor or homeowner, whether you are looking for components or design ideas, nothing seems to have escaped the fertile imagination of the team of experts at this unique company. The standard reaction from the many people that have been on a guided tour of their facility is “Wow! This is how a business should be run!†Their Training room, their Organization chart and their Communication center are all tangible signs of their professionalism but most of all, the enthusiasm of every staff member and their interest and willingness to help leaves a lasting and positive impression.
“Apart from our administrative skills,†said Terry Morrill, “We are aiming to develop a center for contractors and homeowners to come to for anything that they require from outdoor kitchens and barbeques, to heaters, to ponds, pond equipment and fish, also patios and paving stones of all shapes and sizes and design and installation services of patios, driveways, walkways, decks and waterfalls. We want no one to leave without finding exactly what he or she were looking for and more,†he added.
Considering the amount of time we, in Southern California, spend outdoors at home, entertaining family and friends, our backyards have become large extra rooms of the house. The same way we would go to a furniture store to fill the internal rooms with choice pieces to suit our lifestyle, there is now another source of supply for ‘furnishing’ the biggest ‘room’ of the house – our backyard with the only limitation being our imagination.
