Furniture maker to open Thomasville distribution center
Zocalo, a San Francisco-based furniture designer and
manufacturer, will open a distribution center in Thomasville, according to an announcement.
The company said the 33,000-square-foot warehouse may be expanded later to 55,000 square feet as demand for its products increases on the East Coast and in eastern Canada.
Zocalo Vice President of Sales Duncan Elcombe said more of his company’s accounts are demanding more frequent deliveries of smaller quantities of product.
“The North Carolina distribution center will allow us to dramatically improve our delivery times to our East Coast dealers,” Elcombe said.
The company did not say when the new facility will open. When it does, Zocalo will have six distribution centers nationwide.
