Henning to leave Tempur-Pedic
Furniture Today,
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Chris Henning, president of Tempur-Pedic’s retail division, has resigned, effective at the end of the year.
Henning said his resignation is for family reasons and that his parting with Tempur-Pedic is an amicable one. He said he wants to spend more time with his two teenage daughters.
“This has nothing to do with the company or its performance,†he said. “It comes down to putting my family first.â€
Henning said Rick Anderson, president of Tempur-Pedic’s operations in North America, will assume interim responsibility for the retail division.
“Tempur-Pedic is the leader in specialty sleep,†Henning said. “They will continue to do well. The team there is very strong. It will continue to be a strong team going forward. It’s been a great run for me. I’ve had a lot of fun.â€
Henning headed Tempur-Pedic’s retail division for about a year, and has been with the company for about five years. Before that he spent five years with International Bedding, and 10 years with Simmons.
