School board OKs furniture bid

A bid of $67,313.15 from Office Source for new office furniture for the new administration building was approved by the Texarkana, Ark. school board.
The furniture now in use in the superintendents office area will be moved to the new administration building.


The additional furniture will be ordered to match or blend with existing furniture, both in color and in style. In the new building, the furniture will be used to furnish the lobby eception area, three conference rooms, the board room, a break room, the superintendents office area, the assistant superintendents offices and ten support staff offices. The area to be furnished and the cost of the furniture is:
n Lobby eception area, $6,130.10. n Three conference rooms, a board room and a break room, $25,499.60. n Superintendents office, $11,158.55.
n Superintendents secretary, $8,527.70. n Assistant superintendents financial office, $6,584. n 10 support staff offices, $9,413.20.
TASD will continue to operate the current administration building at 3512 Grand Ave., as additional office space.
