Furniture Brands CFO leaves for ITT post

Furniture Brands International Inc. said Monday that Denise Ramos resigned as senior vice president and chief financial officer to accept the same post at ITT Corp.
ITT said in a release Monday that Ramos, 50, will join the firm effective July 1. She will succeed George Minnich, 57, who is retiring from the company.


Ramos joined Furniture Brands in January 2016, succeeding David Howard.
Furniture Brands said it plans to begin a search for a replacement and will evaluate internal as well as external candidates.
ITT Corp. (NYSE: ITT), based in White Plains, N.Y., designs and manufactures engineered products and provides related services worldwide.
St. Louis-based Furniture Brands International Inc. (NYSE: FBN) manufactures furniture under the Thomasville, Henredon, Drexel Heritage, Maitland-Smith, Broyhill and Lane brands.
