17th -19th Century French furniture at MNAR

An exhibition displaying French furniture from the Provence, Normandy, and Brittany provinces will be opened Friday at the Romanian National Art Museum (MNAR), on the occasion of the International Museum Day.
The exhibition presents 13 pieces of French regional furniture, dating back since the 17th – 19th Centuries, the Museum announced.

They are part of a special category of furniture, which has never been presented in an exhibition before.
The Romanian National Art Museum has previously presented, in temporary or permanent exhibitions, pieces of furniture made in major urban centres in France, Italy, Austria or Russia. The exhibition of French regional furniture from Provence, Normandy or Brittany is intended to prove that in this field the creativity, imagination and beauty have not only defined Paris and the major styles, but France as a whole.
