27-year-old Nashville-based office furniture wholesaler acquired by Denver distributor
A Colorado office furniture distributor has acquired Nashville-based NDI Wholesale, the largest office furniture wholesaler in the Southeast.
Denver-based OfficeSource announced the acquisition of NDI, a 27-year-old company that serves more than 530 customers throughout a seven-state region, in a release today. Terms of the acquisition were not released.
Besides Tennessee, NDI’s service area includes Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Florida.
Since its formation three years ago, OfficeSource has acquired three other similar companies. They include Kansas City-based Mid-Continent Office Distributors, Sacramento-based Equipment Distributors and Pennsylvania-based COE Distribution.
“The addition of NDI Wholesale fits our business model and strategy perfectly,” said Todd Elmers, OfficeSource chairman and CEO, in a release
“It takes our coast-to-coast presence another step closer toward a full nationwide distribution network,” Elmers added. “Plus, the caliber of the people, service and relationships NDI Wholesale has built are right in line with our nationwide distribution model with a localized presence philosophy.”
OfficeSource is the largest U.S. distributor dedicated exclusively to mid-market office furniture.
The company has revenues of $120 million and its philosophy involves trying to preserve the local-level service and relationships developed by the companies it acquires. OfficeSource has 280 employees and 15 distribution centers coast-to-coast.
