ANTIQUES: Ridgefield's Keeler Tavern plans furniture workshop
The Keeler Tavern Museum is sponsoring a talk on the care and repair of old furniture by John Robertson Tuesday, March 6 from noon to 2.
The talk will provide an understanding of how to proceed to bring useful but distressed furniture back into the mainstream of family life. Silver, brass and copper pieces will also be discussed.
The discussion with demonstrations will be held in the Cass Gilbert Garden House at the museum.
Fee is $10. Bring a bag lunch, beverages will be provided.
Those attending are encouraged to bring small items of distressed furniture such as chairs or small tables to be examined. Everyone is encouraged to write out any questions to be addressed during the discussion.
