The Young Home Furnishings Professionals, an organization dedicated to attracting
young people to the home furnishings industry, as well as to keeping talented young professionals in the industry, has become a division of the American Home Furnishings Alliance.
“YHFP brings excellent goals and objectives under the AHFA umbrella,†said AHFA CEO Andy Counts. “We look forward to providing valuable services and important networking opportunities for the young men and women who belong to YHFP.â€
The annual membership fee for belonging to this premier network of industry professionals under age 40 was previously $50. It will remain $50 a year for qualified individuals from non-AHFA member companies.
Qualified employees at AHFA member companies, however, will enjoy YHFP membership as an added benefit of their company’s AHFA membership.
All YHFP members, whether they come from an AHFA member company or not, will receive access to selected, members-only areas of the AHFA Web site, http://www.ahfa.us/, as a valuable new benefit of YHFP membership.
Additional new benefits of YHFP membership include member pricing on all AHFA meetings and events, YHFP networking events at select AHFA meetings, subscription to a new YHFP membership newsletter and access to career resources on the new YHFP Web site
“Our affiliation with AHFA means YHFP members can connect with the most influential companies in the home furnishings industry,†said YHFP President Chip Wright of Leggett & Platt. “These new benefits will help us continue to deliver unique learning and networking experiences to our members.â€
