Bob Choppa joins Lexington Home Brands

THOMASVILLE, N.C. – Bob Choppa, enlisted by Thomasville Furniture Inds. in late 2004 as senior vice president of upholstery

merchandising, left the company last week to join Lexington Home Brands.
He is vice president and general manager of upholstery operations for LHB, a new position. He reports to President and CEO Phil Haney.
At Thomasville, Choppa was responsible for upholstery merchandising and marketing. He previously was senior vice president of upholstery marketing at Century, which he joined in 1986. Choppa was also a sales representative and a regional manager at Hickory Tavern, which at the time was a division of Lane Furniture.
Choppa is the latest in several recent personnel moves at Lexington, a Sun Capital Partners affiliate.
Haney, a former Stanley Furniture executive, joined the company as president and CEO in September, replacing Bob Stec.
This month, Stanley veteran Robert Sitler joined Lexington as vice president of global sourcing, a new position, and Katrina Patton, former vice president of merchandising for the Royal Patina/Progressive divisions of Sauder Woodworking, was named vice president of product development. She replaced Todd Banik.
