Cologne – Transformability was one of the biggest trends to emerge at this year’s international furniture trade show in Cologne.

There were sofas, for example, that didn’t necessarily have to go in the sitting room and desks that did not have the serious look of office furniture.

We’ve all had to do it at one point or another and the process isn’t easy. In fact, let’s just say it– moving furniture is the pits. I’ve had a ton of problems attempting to cram sofas and chairs through doorways, get bookcases up a flight of stairs and shove a queen size mattress into the back of an SUV.

Antiques and Garden Show of Nashville offers green ideas

Green Hills-based photographer Cheryl Stewart has captured images of nature all across Middle Tennessee, showing the beauty of places like Richland Creek and Belle Meade Plantation.

It’s her third year to show her work at the Antiques and Garden Show of Nashville. Her work includes matted prints and giclees on canvas, and she’s pleased this year’s theme is focused on finding the splendor in our surroundings.
