Living Green Pavillion To Debut At Summer Las Vegas Market

Las Vegas Market officials announced the opening of the Living Green Pavilion, which will make its debut at the Summer Market, July 30 – August 3, 2007.

The inaugural Living Green Pavilion will highlight the growing style and substance of eco-friendly home furnishings and will be located at Sands Expo temporary show, opening on Tuesday July 31.

9W reopens between Nyack and Piermont after yesterday’s furniture truck crash

UPPER GRANDVIEW – Police reopened a partially blocked section of Route 9W about 5 a.m. today after clearing remnants of a furniture truck crash that closed the highway for 10 hours yesterday.

No one was seriously injured in the accident; the truck rolled down an embankment after crashing through a stone wall.

FURNITURE from the Highland home of the family behind one London’s first department stores will go on sale in the Capital next month.

Items including a late Victorian writing table and two washstands with a sink from the Shoolbred hunting lodge in the Highlands will be up for sale in Bonhams, George Street, on June 14.

Group opposes Stewart’s use of name to sell furniture

Members of North Jersey’s Ramapough Indians are objecting to Martha Stewart’s effort to market a new furniture line under the brand name “Katonah” because the name belongs to a 17th-century tribal chief.

Stewart already was in a trademark dispute with a community group in the hamlet of Katonah, in Westchester County, N.Y., where she owns a 153-acre estate.

Premier Furniture, New Franklin Impact win in 12-and-under softball

Premier Furniture evened its season record to 1-1 in 12-and-under softball last night at Rolling Hills Park by beating QuinlanAgency.com by a score of 18-7.

Premier Furniture never trailed in the game against QuinlanAgency.com and plated six runs in the top-half of the first on five walks and two hit batters.

New Ashley furniture store scheduled to open in late summer

A new, free-standing, 45,000-square-foot Ashley Furniture HomeStore is scheduled to open by late August. It is under construction on a 4.4-acre site on Capital Circle Southeast, just north of Apalachee Parkway.

The new building will be “a significant improvement” to the current 30,000-square-foot Ashley store, located in a nearby shopping center, said Russell Price, president of Price Commercial, which is developing the project for owner Russell Turner.

Scorpions Donate Furniture To Charity

RIO RANCHO, NM- Rio Rancho’s New Mexico Scorpions hockey team will be donating furniture to Family-to-Family Home Furnishings.
Items received will then be distributed to families in need.

At approximately 10 a.m. a delivery truck – courtesy of Mooney Corporation- will bring items previously used by Scorpion players such as living/bedroom furniture, chairs, dinette sets, and much more to a storage facility in Bernalillo. Representatives from Family-to-Family Home Furnishings will then coordinate the distribution of these home furnishings.
